Microblading involves using a manual hand tool and specially designed pigmentation to give a realistic hair stroke effect to eyebrows, enabling a thicker and fuller appearance. These fine micro-strokes do not blur after healing in the way that other semi-permanent make-up techniques do.

Clients often choose microblading to change the shape of their eyebrows, improve definition, to add colour and density, and to replace volume that has been lost due to medical treatment or over-plucking. At the Beauty by Carole clinic, we can create thicker, darker brows or brows with a lighter, finer finish and we tailor each treatment your individual goals.

We also offer a number of complementary brow services, including tinting, shaping and waxing.

If you are looking to enhance the appearance of your brows, get in touch with the Beauty by Carole clinic today to see how we can help!

Your free, no-obligation consultation provides the opportunity to share your goals and concerns with us and to ask any questions you may have. During the consultation we will agree a colour, style and shape as well as the most suitable treatment package for you, including microblading, tinting and shaping.

The initial treatment including consultation will take around 60-90 min to complete. Your follow up appointment, where we put the finishing touches to your brows, should take less than an hour.

Following the treatment, you will be given after care instructions to ensure that you allow your brows to heal and develop evenly. This may include refraining from using steam room, sauna and swimming pool during first 5-7 days after your treatment.

about eyebrows

There is no downtime from microblading, but it is important that you avoid strenuous exercise and extreme heat (e.g. steam room and sauna) during the first week after your microblading treatment. It is normal for the eyebrows to feel a little “itchy” (and occasionally form very small scabs) during the first week and you should avoid scratching or picking the treated area to ensure that the pigmentation develops evenly. You should also try to keep any hair, dust or other foreign object away from the treated area.

Following the treatment, it is common for the initial colour of the eyebrows to be a little darker than the final shade. It takes around four weeks for the pigment to fully develop and settle, which is why we arrange for your follow-up consultation to occur around four weeks after the initial treatment. The results of microblading can last for up to 18 months, although most clients choose to top-up their treatments annually.

At the Beauty by Carole clinic, we take great care to ensure that the treatment is as comfortable as possible. We apply a topical anaesthetic to numb the top layers of the skin, to ensure that any discomfort experienced is as little as possible.

You should look perfectly normal after the treatment. However, if you are prone to rosacea or have very sensitive skin, you make look a little red around the area for a couple of hours afterwards but this should fade quickly.
